Overview

Our popular 2.5 hour introduction to Agile and Scrum is back this September following a short summer break!

This session provides a quick-start guide to the principles of Agile and the increasingly popular Scrum framework by breaking it down into small, digestible chunks. If you want to increase the productivity of your teams and learn how to release more value, more quickly, this session is for you.

On the night

In this 2.5 hour event one of our highly experienced Certified Scrum Masters and Agile Practitioners will look at how Agile project management has grown and developed from its core principles before providing a focused introduction to the Scrum methodology.

Scrum is an implementation of Agile principles where discreet amounts of work are tackled in timeboxes called sprints. The core meetings of Scrum include Stand Ups, Planning, Retrospectives and Demos. In addition to looking at the mechanics of these we will provide an overview of estimating in Scrum, how requirements are captured and the attributes of a good Scrum team.

Who is it for?

This event assumes no prior knowledge of Agile or Scrum. Attendees should have had some exposure to projects and project management. It will be of benefit for those who work in or with Scrum teams, those who are thinking of adopting Agile or Scrum, or want to reflect back on the core principles and solidify learning, as well as people looking to become a Certified ScrumMaster.
