creating a website to support rebrand and change the landscape of insurance processing services

with Velonetic

Velonetic wanted to launch a website that reflected its new brand, positioning and values. In parallel, Lloyd’s of London was launching its new website to support the adoption of Blueprint Two technology in the industry.

challenge

Velonetic wanted to launch a website that reflected its new brand, positioning and values. In parallel, Lloyd’s of London was launching its new website to support the adoption of Blueprint Two technology in the industry.
The new Drupal CMS platform will empower internal staff to create, manage, modify, and publish content to its audiences in a user-friendly interface.

manifesto started work in August 2023, culminating in the all new,  joint website  launch just two months later.  Subsequent enhancements of the website included exciting new functionality with the migration to Acquia/AWS and developing a new ‘Secure Access Area’ functionality.

manifesto and the Velonetic / Lloyd’s project teams worked to some very aggressive timescales linked to the fixed external launch event (and subsequent events/deadlines).  In a period of six months, we managed an impressive 30 releases/deployments, all delivered on scope, time and budget.

In addition to Velonetic and Lloyd’s of London, there were many organisations involved in the launch of the two websites, including DXC technology, Bareska Creative and EY Seren. This gave us a complex stakeholder map with multiple workstreams, which required skillful navigation.

The initial website launch is an MVP, so there is an appetite to enhance the website further with functionality to support Velonetic’s cutover and Blueprint2 activities.

What made it successful

  • Introduced new ways of working, based on cross-functional teams, working in agile sprints

  • Utilising the breadth and depth of different teams to deliver against a common goal

  • Successfully balancing risk and agility to ensure the project was delivered at pace against the high levels of compliance and governance required

  • Close collaboration, mutual respect and support throughout the process

  • Pragmatic decision-making and solutions to cut through complexity

  • An enormous amount of work was completed in a short space of time, which can only be achieved with the dedication that all parties put into the project

  • A true partnership, facing the challenges and achievements together

impact

  • The success of our work with Velonetic is reflected in the positive feedback we received from stakeholders and audiences.

  • Furthermore, the new Velonetic website generated impressive results, including a 17.5% reduction in the bounce rate and a 115% increase in the average duration of a user session.

  • Over 60,000 visitors have used the website since the rebranding and these results highlight that users are finding content of relevance to them.

Manifesto were true partners throughout this project. We always felt safe and supported, knowing they would go the extra mile to deliver on promises. Acting as an extension of our team, their collaborative, proactive approach meant we were able to achieve our goals and create a model for best practice. manifesto really understood us as people and put our business needs at the forefront of everything they did. They never tried to sell us anything that was superfluous to our needs and were always looking for opportunities to help us evolve. We are looking forward to our continued relationship and what lays ahead.
