Event: Creative culture through an Agile lens

As co-organisers of the Agile for Agencies meetup, we’re pleased to announce the group’s first event of 2017. On Thursday 2nd February we’ll be exploring the changing nature of creativity within organisations, how it interacts with and can be improved by Agile ways of working, and what this means for agencies and teams both now and in the future.

Thursday 2nd February, 6.30pm
On the night
We’ve got two excellent speakers lined up to share their thoughts on and experiences of the changing role of the agency Creative Director in an increasingly technology-led media landscape (and it looks like a battle of ideas might be shaping up). We’re still confirming one more speaker. As usual, there’ll be plenty of opportunity for questions, discussion and casual chats over a beer.
The Creative Director is Dead – Charlie Lyons, General Manager, Beyond
The industries that we work in look very different today than they did ten years ago – and the pace of innovation is only getting more rapid. The only way for companies to keep abreast of this landscape is to embrace this change. But, to do this means to drastically change the way we work. Gone are the days of creativity solely being the remit of the creative department. We need to move away from the cult of the creative director, which gives one individual or department a monopoly over creativity.
The Re-Birth of the Creative Director – Mark Ellis, Creative Director, Manifesto
Mark Ellis, alive and kicking, talks to us about his experience as a Creative Director, and how creativity has developed in agencies recently. As the Creative Director at Manifesto, Mark has first-hand experience of how the agency environment is changing. His talk will give an insight to ways and methods of sharing creativity with the wider agency, and how everyone has the potential to help take creativity to new and exciting heights.
