Meet the team: Matt Brooks, Software Engineer/Consultant

A photo of Matt Brooks

Java developer, Manchester City fan and Oxford-born gamer Matt Brooks is just one of a number of new starters at Manifesto who we’ll be introducing you to over the next couple of weeks.

A graduate with a degree in Computing, Matt joins us fresh from a stint the Home Office in Croydon where he used his Java skills on systems for dealing with visas, biometric data transfer and case working systems.

Since joining London’s Greatest Digital AgencyTM Matt has been honing his skills in the studio before he heads off to help CRUK on Race for Life in October. It’s clear he’s looking forward to getting stuck in and it’s also clear that he’s full of enthusiasm when it comes to tech:

“One of the most exciting thing about working with technology for me is that you never know what’s around the corner, or what the next big thing is. Its crazy to think that the original iPhone was released only 8 years ago, ushering in a massive shift in how people use technology on a daily basis.

“Services like Twitter and Facebook have changed how we interact with each other and the world around us. Wearable technology like Google Glass and smart watches like the Apple Watch offer glimpses into potential new paradigms for our interactions with tech going forward. No-one could have predicted where technology would be today 10 years ago and who could say now what the next 10 years will look like?”

We’re hoping that at least part of it will look like Matt Brooks becoming an integral part of the Manifesto team.
