When and where
Wednesday 12 April 2017
6.30pm – 9.30pm
Manifesto Digital – 1st Floor, 141-143 Shoreditch Highstreet, London, E1 6JE (map)
In this 2.5 hour event, hugely experienced ScrumMaster, Agile practitioner and speaker Simon Bates (COO, Manifesto) looks at how Agile project management has grown and developed from its core principles before providing a focused introduction to the Scrum methodology.
Scrum is an implementation of Agile principles where discreet amounts of work are tackled in time-boxes called sprints. The core meetings of Scrum include Stand Ups, Planning, Retrospectives and Demos. In addition to looking at the mechanics of these, Simon will provide an overview of estimating in Scrum, how requirements are captured and the attributes of a good Scrum team.
Who is it for?
This event assumes no prior knowledge of Agile or Scrum. Attendees should have had some exposure to projects and project management. It will be of benefit for those who work in or with Scrum teams, those who are thinking of adopting Agile or Scrum, or want to reflect back on the core principles and solidify learning. It’s also a great start for those looking to become Certified ScrumMasters.
