Event: The Annual Manifesto BIG Charity Digital Pub Quiz!
If you’re a charity then you’ve hopefully heard about our passion for all things charity digital by now – and running parallel with that passion is our strong commitment to giving a little something back. We also enjoy learning (and beverages!) so really it makes sense that we announce our collision of passions by inviting all charities – big or small – to the 1st Annual Manifesto BIG Charity Digital Pub Quiz.
Some charities walk into a pop up bar…
“How Annual?” – well this is the first year, but we’re stoked, fired up, and well, really quite excited and wanna make this a yearly thing! “How BIG?” …big enough to hire a whole venue, throw in loads of prizes, trophies, drinks and big BIG Thursday night fun…
What prizes are we talking about here?
BIG events mean BIG prizes! The charity team that battles it’s way to 1st place gets a £1,000 donation to their charity, the coveted cup trophy and the knowledge of being the best!
2nd place will also get a donation, a plate trophy and the pride and dignity of coming second while 3rd place will get, well, some sort of trophy. And there’ll be some other #surpriseprizes along the way. It’s not all about the winning (although that would be pretty sweet, right?) but the atmosphere, the chance to hang out with other charities and a little bit of friendly competition will make it a night to remember however many points you score.
What’s the order of the evening?
Doors will open from 6pm. It’d be great to see you there from then – we’ll have some complimentary drinks waiting for you (ok – so pretty much all the drinks will be complimentary on the night but it would be great to see you there from 6 / 6:30ish).
The quiz itself will start at 7pm so make it there for the start. There will be 4 rounds with ample room for a bit of banter and music between breaks. Winning teams to be announced around 10pm. After that it’s drinks, chat and music until carriages at 11pm (…carriages not provided!)
We’ve hired a hall, with a bar and a stage and we’re very excited! It’s on Exmouth market and attached (but with a separate entrance) to the rather large lovely church near our office. The full address for the hall and shindig is Church Hall, 26 Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell, EC1R 4QE
No Cheating. No fighting (we scrapped that round). Teams will consist of no more than 5 employees. If your charity has more than 5 employees who want to take part you can enter a second team. A charity can enter no more than two teams. We’re digital – obviously(!), hence the digital twist to the evening, but not all employees that you enter need to be digital employees (heck, I’m not a Digital Manifestonian, although I’m quite good at Pac-Man).
Firstly we advise that you chat with your colleagues! Once your charity and you have decided who to enter / how many teams there will be then do get in touch (it would be best for a “team captain” to send one email to register interest). We’ll then send you a link to our booking form. We do ask for a £20 donation per team – this will then all go into the pot as the donation to the charity team that comes second, helping to create a little “commune” spice to the second prize!
Please note – there are a lot charities so allocation will be on a first come first served basis, with bookings confirmed through getting in touch (email@example.com) and then placing the £20 donation.
Hang on. Are you going to sell to us throughout the evening?
Nope! We wanted to have a summer party and we like charities. This is kind of a good excuse to hang out with people we know and like and hopefully meet new like minded people too! But if you do want to work with us in the future please do get in touch separately!
