About The Role

As a senior strategist at manifesto, you'll work at the heart of our teams by defining our approach to identifying and solving our clients' key problems and opportunities. Within the strategy practice, you will work across core capabilities such as (not limited to) problem framing, innovation, business and organisational design, and product & service ownership, all through the lens of digital experience transformation. Working with our clients across various projects, you will lead in defining and driving our strategic approach, ensuring our teams are outcome- and value-focused and that we deliver work of the highest standard for our clients.

At manifesto, we are on a mission to drive digital transformation and impact for our clients, primarily in the not-for-profit, public membership, arts and culture, education and healthcare sectors, by crafting innovative, data-driven solutions and digital experiences. Experience working in or with charity and fundraising organisations would be preferable for this role but not mandatory.

We never stand still and are always looking to expand our capabilities and innovation practice We are looking for individuals to join our team with experience and expertise across our capabilities - the ideal candidate could be highly skilled in a few or many of our areas but most importantly they will be curious and committed to grow, as we grow ourselves. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

As a Senior Digital Strategist within manifesto you will have accountability for taking a lead on the strategic direction of projects and partnerships, working as part of a cross-functional agile team with  other experts in technology, user experience, brand, creative and delivery. This could include leading the problem-solving charge, helping to connect the dots between the needs, wants, and desires of audiences and those often-elusive organisation, brand, and marketing goals.

  • Canvas and model product and service solutions that meet our client goals and objectives
  • Craft the project or product vision statement and identify the steps needed to realise it
  • Own and define our strategic approach to achieving impact and value-driven solutions
  • Build and manage client and product roadmaps that communicate how we will meet strategic goals and objectives
  • Model organisational and business change designs, and define tests and pilots to iterative scale and deliver change
  • Explore innovative approaches with the teams, especially with the application of innovative design thinking and business design methodologies.
  • Balance big-picture strategic thinking with tactical and pragmatic approaches.
  • Manage and foster deep and trusted client relationships, especially across senior and executive leadership levels
  • Staying abreast of sector, industry and audience trends to open opportunities
  • Implement digital strategy frameworks
  • Drive digital transformation through both digital solutions and through culture and change management
  • Support with new business proposals and pitches and participate actively in helping us win exciting and challenging new projects by helping to shape the pitch narrative and making our ideas a compelling story for potential clients.

This is a role where you will be the face of manifesto in different arenas. Clients will look to you for inspiration, empathy and collaboration. You must be comfortable in communicating our brand, ethos and what we stand for as an organisation with passion and enthusiasm. You will be asked to support the manifesto marketing mission  by sharing ideas for and writing blogs,  thought leadership within the sector, running workshops, attending conferences and speaking at events (both internal and external).

This is a dynamic and stimulating role. You may hold multiple client relationships and, therefore, must be comfortable switching between projects.

About You

  • You’ll be passionate about driving value and user-centric outcomes in everything you do. You are an active problem solver, using your skills and techniques to apply them to different situations to bring the best out of the solution and the strategy being proposed.
  • You will be comfortable with the unknown, making sense and shape out of client problems to outline a pathway to the right outcomes.
  • You will be comfortable facilitating sessions with large and senior audiences and presenting and speaking both in pitches and at events.
  • You will be very detail-oriented and well versed in breaking down and articulating large, complex problems into understandable and relatable iterations and descriptions.

We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds; we must represent the communities we serve. You may have agency and strategy experience, but you may have worked in or had significant exposure to charity, not-for-profit, culture or membership organisations.

We have a hybrid working practice, ideally seeking candidates who are within a commuting distance of our major hubs in London, Bristol and Canterbury. We do not mandate set days in the office; these will vary depending on client and project requirements.  We believe in the value of a hybrid approach, with different settings meeting different needs; there will be a requirement for onsite work  and face to face meetings with clients and time with your colleagues and plenty of opportunity to work from home regularly.
